Welcome to Martin Glass Company. Our family-owned company was founded in 1933. We are a quality, full-service glass company operating in the St. Louis/Southern Illinois region. Auto and truck glass installation was our company's original focus. We then expanded into framed mirrors, beveled edge mirrors, framed prints, and custom-cut mirrors and glass tops. Recently, we have again expanded our product line to include shower and tub enclosures, cultured marble for bathroom vanities, tubs, and showers, and closet accessories.
Through the years, our primary concern continues to be customer service and safety. We take pride in offering quality products to our customers. Our friendly and helpful CSR's and technicians are always available to assist you.

Our Beginnings
Martin Glass Company began in the garage of the home of our founders, Martin A. and Helen Kosydor, in 1933 in East St. Louis, Illinois. A few years later, a retail store was opened at 2211 State Street in East St. Louis. Martin Glass was the first company in the St. Louis area to offer mobile service. Ath that time, all vehicle glass was cut as needed, then installing in vehicles at the customer's home or work. In addition to auto glass, Martin Glass also cut glass tops and mirrors, hence our slogan "Glass for Auto, Truck and Home."
Martin and Helen's twin sons, Martin F. and Marvin, starting working in the business at an early age, cleaning and working in the shop. Martin and Marvin took over the company when Martin A retired in 1965.

Expansion
In 1972, Martin F. Kosydor and his wife, opened a new store in the Belle-Valley Industrial Village in Belleville. The East St Louis store closed a few years later as Belleville became the corporate office. The additional warehouse space in Belleville allowed the company to make truckload purchases giving the company a competitive edge in inventory and pricing.
In 1977, a branch store opened in Fairiview Heights. Another branch opened in 1980 in Collinsville. These branches were later consolidated in Collinsville. The St Louis branch opened in 1982. Sales reps were hired to promote the company to insurance agents, car dealerships, body shop and fleet companies. Another branch opened in 1992 in Litchfield. With the addition of three branches, the service area covered metropolitan St. Louis and and southwestern region of Illinois.

Today
Martin Glass Company's growth is attributed to excellent service and quality products and workmanship. Excellent service and quality products and workmanship will continue to be our foremost concern. Third and fourth generation family memebers are active in the business today.
